This Group.

Anyone who has watched Bridgeton, has absolutely heard of the Vitamin String Quartet. And if you’re just plain cool and ahead of the curve, you might have discovered them a while ago, as they have been around for over 10 years.

I, unfortunately, am not cool and I found them via the popular Netflix series. It’s that unconventional, classical performance of modern songs which activates something rather wonderful in the brain. That same feeling of mixing old and new; it’s not supposed to work, but it really really does.

I bring a lot of this spirit into my work. I like to mix things which are unexpected and speak to the different parts of us, which respond to their elements in inexplicable ways.

I leave you with one of my fave performances of theirs, “In My Blood” by Shawn Mendes. The original song is okay, I’m not particularly blown away with it. This version however…. just wow.
