About

My work explores the psychology of how we see ourselves and make sense of our lives. I am interested in how we assign value; to ourselves, to others, and to what we leave behind, and how those perceptions change with time.

Through themes of beauty, identity, mortality and legacy, I examine the relationship between outward appearance and inner experience. I keep returning to questions of worth: how it is perceived, what influences it, and how we choose to give our lives meaning.

I express these ideas through intricate mixed media works, bringing together individually syringed resin forms and microscopic handwriting. I am drawn to the way countless tiny elements accumulate into something larger. Between the textured forms, each piece holds a handwritten meditation on its subject, a quiet discovery for those who take the time to come closer.

My practice is the antithesis of instant gratification. A single piece can take six weeks to make, through repetition, precision and sustained attention. The process feels meditative, allowing me to sit with the questions the work raises. The hours invested in each piece also make me conscious of how I am spending my own life.

That same patience is invited when encountering the finished work. The intricate surface draws the eye; closer attention reveals the writing and the thoughts held within it. I want the experience to continue beyond the first impression, giving someone a reason to linger and something to return to.

Ultimately, I make work that invites us to slow down, look beneath the surface, and consider what we value—and what we choose to do with the time we have.
