Delivery & Shipping

This policy outlines the shipping, handling, and delivery terms for all ready-made artwork and bespoke commissions purchased directly from Taya De La Cruz.

For questions regarding an open order, please contact taya@tayadelacruz.com.

1. Delivery Rates & Timeframes

  • Ready-Made Artwork: All delivery charges and estimated periods will be clearly stated and explained at checkout before you complete your purchase. Unless a longer timeframe is specifically agreed upon, ready-made consumer goods will be dispatched without undue delay and delivered within 30 days of order acceptance.

  • Bespoke Commissions: Custom or commissioned artworks often require extensive production times. Specific delivery schedules, milestones, and shipping dates for these pieces will be explicitly agreed upon in writing during your quotation process.

  • Delays: I will notify you promptly of any significant, unforeseen delays. Your statutory rights to end the contract for non-delivery and receive a full refund remain completely unaffected.

2. Risk & Ownership

  • Transit Risk: When I arrange the courier or postal delivery of an item, all risk remains with me during transit. Risk only transfers to you when you, or your explicitly nominated recipient, physically takes possession of the artwork.

  • Transfer of Ownership: Legal ownership of the artwork officially passes to you only after full payment has been received and the item has been successfully delivered.

3. International Shipping, Duties & Customs

  • Recipient Responsibility: Unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase, all international import duties, clearance fees, local taxes, and customs fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

  • Customs Delays: International shipments may be subject to customs inspection and clearing procedures in your destination country. I am not responsible for delivery delays caused by local customs authorities.

  • Delivery Information: Please ensure you provide a highly accurate shipping address, email, and phone number at checkout. I am not liable for delivery failures or returned parcels resulting from incorrect or incomplete details provided by the purchaser.

4. Damaged Deliveries

  • Reporting Damage: Please inspect your artwork immediately upon arrival. If your package has been damaged in transit, please report it to me ideally within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Evidence Required: When reporting transit damage, please include clear photographs of both the damaged artwork and the external packaging.

  • Note: This administrative request helps me lodge claims with couriers and does not affect or limit your statutory consumer rights regarding faulty or damaged goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
